If the reigning Lord of Darkness of fashion, Rick Owens, collaborated on a pair of Air Jordans, they most likely would have looked like these. The collar’s complete tumbled leather design stretches well past the ankle, giving it a boot-like appearance. To make it easy to put them on and take them off, an enlarged heel tab is sewn across the back, and the tongue is adorned with a sleek nylon structure.
The absurdly thick platform sole is the greatest part, though. It has an aggressive, somewhat brutalist style with a grid-like pattern carved on it. There were only 13,000 pairs produced worldwide, and more than 5 million eager sneakerheads attempted to get their hands on them on the day of release.
