Wrong way driver crashes into truck owned by City of Oakland

According to the California Highway Patrol, a driver headed the wrong way tried to crash into other vehicles on Sunday.

There was a crash after 7 a.m. There is a street near Seminary Road. The driver of the Ford F 150 was driving east on I 580. The highway patrol doesn’t know where the truck entered.

The Ford F 250 was owned by the City of Oakland and witnesses said the driver was trying to crash into other cars. Major injuries were suffered by the driver of the F 150 and minor injuries by the driver of the f 250. The drivers were taken to the hospital for further treatment.

The lanes were closed for over an hour. After the crash traffic was diverted to Seminary Road.

There were two fatal crashes in the Bay Area on Saturday. One person died after a wrong way collision in Marin County.
